Dental Implant Solutions For Every Kind of Tooth Loss
Over 178 million Americans have lost one or more permanent teeth. Even losing one tooth can be a serious setback to your ability to eat, speak and smile. Fortunately, Drs. Terence and Casey Lau offer their patients dental implant solutions for tooth loss.
Dental implants are highly effective at treating tooth loss because they’re permanently anchored and fused to your jawbone through a process called osseointegration. Dental implants look, act, and feel like real teeth, giving your smile it’s full function back. They also provide added protection against tooth loss related health issues like gum disease and indigestion.
No matter what kind of tooth loss you’ve experienced, Doctors Terence and Casey Lau can offer you a dental implant solution to permanently restore the look and function of your smile.
Single Tooth Restoration
For patients who are missing one tooth in one or more areas or have a tooth that’s severely damaged and needs to be extracted, Dr. Lau recommends a single tooth restoration.
For a singular restoration, Dr. Lau will surgically insert the biocompatible titanium implant into your jawbone and attach a porcelain crown as a restoration. Your crown will be the only visible part of the implant.
Multiple Tooth Restoration
If you’re missing multiple teeth that are non-adjacent to one another, Dr. Lau may recommend singular implants. However, for replacing adjacent missing teeth, Dr. Lau may recommend a singular, multiple tooth restoration in the form of a partial implant-supported bridge.
Unlike traditional bridges, implant supported bridges don’t rely on your healthy surrounding teeth for support. This saves them from the enamel shaving process required for traditional bridges, helping to prevent decay and infection. Bridges are often cheaper than multiple individual implants, while providing a stable, attractive restoration.
Full Arch Restoration
For patients who are missing most or all of their teeth, replacing every tooth with an individual implant can be a costly, lengthy process. Fortunately, Drs. Terence and Casey Lau offer patients full restoration with All-On-4.
All-On-4 involves replacing all of the teeth in the upper and/or lower arches with a permanent denture. Your restoration will be permanently attached to four implants per tooth arch.
Unlike traditional dentures, All-on-4 implant supported dentures will not fall out and do not need to be taken out to be cleaned. Using a minimal amount of implants also means you spend less time in surgery, recover faster, and save more money than if you tried to have every tooth replaced with an individual implant.

What makes dental implants a better option than tooth-supported bridges and removable dentures?
- Restores Your Bite – Traditional removable dentures can reduce your bite force by up to 50 percent. Dental implants can restore most if not all of your bite force, helping to prevent indigestion and nutritional deficit due to improper chewing.
- Protection Against Tooth Loss Related Health Issues – Some of those issues include resorption, premature wrinkles, infection, inflammation, gum disease and dental drift.
- Stable – Because they’re anchored to your jaw, your implants won’t fall out.
