After graduating from USC School of Dentistry in 1987, Dr. Terence Lau attended the University of Washington where he received advanced training on Periodontal Prosthetics. During that time, the University of Washington was far ahead of most dental schools in the nation in terms of dental implant training. In fact, Dr. Terence Lau studied dental implants under the tutelage of P.I. Brånemark and Gerald Nisnick, two legendary pioneers in the field.

Dr. Terence is a leader in continuing education for dentists. He has completed advanced training in all aspects of implant dentistry, including laser dentistry, regenerative periodontics, occlusion, and implant assisted orthodontics. Dr. Terence specializes in minimally invasive implant surgery, which means reduced discomfort and faster recovery times for our patients.

Dr. Terence doesn’t just take continuing education courses, he also teaches them. He founded Bio-Aesthetic Implant and Laser Solutions to provide education for his fellow practitioners in implant dentistry and laser dentistry. Dr. Lau has been invited to provide lectures throughout the nation on several topics including The Placement of Short Dental Implants in Severely Resorbed Alveolar Ridges, Incorporating Lasers in Implant Dentistry, and Simplified Implant Surgery for the General Dentist.

Dr. Casey Lau completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at UCLA in 2002 and joined Mid-Valley the same year. He’s been serving our patients from Northridge and surrounding communities ever since, adding his outstanding skills and winning attitude to the practice. Patients really appreciate Dr. Casey’s patience and his ability to put people at ease by clearly explaining dental treatments in advance.

Dr. Casey continues to hone his skills by keeping up to date with advances in dentistry and dental technology. He does this by remaining current with dental literature and attending several Continuing Education courses annually. He’s completed advanced course work in implant dentistry, orthodontics, Invisalign, and oral sedation.

Dr. Casey is an ardent supporter of UCLA sports, especially their football and basketball programs. He also enjoys watching the Lakers and the Kings. Dr. Casey loves his work, but he’s most dedicated to spending time with his wife Belinda and their two sons, Brayden and Ryan. He also enjoys snowboarding and martial arts.
